You therefore promise:

First of all: that you will be aware of the mission of education and science for society, that you will constantly strive for social progress and a happy future for humanity, that you will direct your knowledge and your activities to the benefit of all people and that you will perform your duties properly and conscientiously, that you will constantly deepen the scientific knowledge that this science has reached and will continue to do so.

Furthermore: that you will, to the best of your ability and your best conscience, always direct the lives of the healthy and the sick only for their benefit, that you will keep your life and your medical art pure and free from any wrongdoing and that you will only have the good of man in mind, that you will keep secret what you see or hear in the performance of your profession or in the lives of people in general and what should not be made public.

Finally: that you will always keep in grateful memory Charles University and its Faculty of Medicine, where you will obtain the title of Doctor of Medicine/Doctor of Dentistry. Are you well aware of what you are committing to, and are you ready to make this glorious promise on your good conscience?"

Primum: Vos semper quantum cultus ingenii et scientia ad societatem promovendam valet in memoria habituros; progressionem socialem semper provecturos atque rationi vitae pro generis humani prosperitate futura consulturos; doctrinam qua nunc polletis hominum commodo adhibituros; officia vestra rite, diligenter praestituros; omnia incrementa, quae progrediente tempore haec ars ceperit, comprehensuros atque provecturos.

Dein: Vos semper vivendi rationem, quoad facultate et iudicio consequi poteritis, sanis aegrisque utilem praescripturos; vitam atque artem vestram castam et ab omni scelere puram servaturos animumque vestrum soli saluti hominum observandae intenturos; quae vero inter curandum aut in vita hominum vel videritis, vel audieritis, quae minime efferre conveniat, sicut arcana silentio suppressuros.

Postremo: Vos Universitatis Carolinae, necnon eius facultatis medicae in qua medicinae universae doctoris / medicinae dentium doctoris gradum consequimini piam perpetuamque memoriam habituros.
